FAQs

The JNP Band Boosters includes all JNP Middle School and JNP High School band members, all parents/guardians of JNP band members, and the JNP band directors. Relatives and friends are welcome to participate in Band Booster activities.

No, there are no financial dues, but the Band Boosters depend on your support.

The Band Boosters support the efforts of the Jacksonville High School and Jacksonville Middle School bands, their directors, and members. The Boosters provide much of the labor that is needed to “get the show on the field,” and raise funds to offset a number of band expenses throughout the school year.

The JNP Band Boosters are led by an elected slate of officers who compose the Executive Board. The Executive Board follows the by-laws of the organization.

Bands perform shows for a panel of judges, competing in categories based on their size. Attending marching band competitions is an excellent way for students to see other schools with strong band programs perform their shows.

Band booster funds purchase instruments, uniforms, and field props as they need to be replaced or added. Boosters funds also help with the maintenance and repair of school-owned instruments as well as contest registration fees. Booster funds also provide recognition awards at the annual band banquet.

There are many ways to help the Band Boosters support our band students! The concession stands at the football and soccer games are the primary way funds are raised for the year, and we are glad to have your help at one or more games! In addition, chaperones are needed every time the band boards the buses to attend a competition or other event, and assistance with other fund raising activities is essential. These are just a few of the ways you can lend a hand!
